2017 Honda CR-V: Back on Top

If you’re in the market for a new 2017 crossover, look no further than the award-winning Honda CR-V! The 2017 CR-V is geared up with usability and functionality in mind, making this year’s CR-V the best crossover SUV on the market by far. And that’s not surprising, given the CR-V’s widespread success over the past several years. This year’s lineup brings a new trim package to the mix - the SE - along with four other trims that are sure to impress. Keep reading to learn more about the top three Honda CR-V packages for 2017, so you can choose the one that’s right for you!

The 2017 CR-V LX ($23,745 MSRP) is the base model, but comes packed with standard features, like 16-inch wheels, cruise control, rearview camera, full-power accessories, adjustable driver’s seat, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and a four-speaker sound system, making the 2017 CR-V LX one of the best affordable crossovers on the market. You can choose between 2WD and 4WD ($25,045 MSRP) models to suit your driving style. Anyone in the market for a great crossover under $25,000 will love the 2017 CR-V LX, and even buyers wanting the 4WD modle could easily get into the 4WD version of the LX for under $25,000 after rebates and incentives!

The newest trim package this year is the 2017 CR-V SE ($24,545 MSRP), but opting for the SE only gets you upgraded wheels (17-inch alloy), rear privacy glass and a security system for that added $800. We recommend opting for the slightly-pricier EX trim package ($25,995 MSRP), instead, which includes everything on the LX and SE, but also gets you automatic headlights with LED daytime running lights, fog lights, retractable cargo cover, sunroof, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, keyless entry and ignition, a LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system (with camera), 7-inch touchscreen display with HondaLink smartphone integration and six-speaker sound system, all for just $1,450 more than you’d pay for the SE trim package, giving you many more features for your money.

Similarly, the CR-V EX-L ($28,445) will get you a few nice features, such as roof rails, heated side mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and auto-dimming rearview mirror, but the CR-V Touring trim package ($32,095 MSRP) includes all of that with, along with 18-inch wheels, a power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, projector beam headlights, forward collision mitigation system (with automatic braking), a lane departure warning system, navigation system, HD radio and driver seat memory settings, making the Touring a much better value. For buyers who choose to go with the CR-V EX-L, however, the navigation system with HD radio is available as an add-on. No other factory options are available on any CR-V model.

No matter which trim package you choose, you’re sure to enjoy Honda’s award-winning performance and design, all at a price that’s affordable to most people in the market for a new crossover SUV this year. Comfortable seating for five, a spacious 70.9 to 104.1 (Touring trim) cubic feet of cargo space, five-star safety rating and an impressive EPA-estimated 27 mpg combined all add up to the 2017 being the best crossover vehicle on the market in 2017! So, which trim package will you choose?
